At Thrive Kids Daycare, the people who care for your children every day are the same people who own and run our school. We’re a nonprofit daycare and preschool in Gainesville, FL, built on a simple belief: children thrive when the adults around them are stable, respected, and invested — and when parents have a real seat at the table.

Why teacher-owned changes everything for your child

Early childhood care has a turnover problem. At many centers, staff change so often that children lose the caregivers they’ve bonded with — and for a baby or toddler, those bonds are everything.

Thrive Kids is different. Our teachers aren’t employees waiting for the next opportunity; they’re owners with a lasting stake in this school and in your child’s growth. When educators share in the ownership and the decisions of their school, they stay. That means continuity and consistency for your child — the same trusted, familiar faces year after year — and a team that is genuinely invested in doing right by every family.

Parents as partners, not just customers

We’re also guided by the families we serve. Parents at Thrive Kids have a real voice in how the school is run, an open door to how decisions are made, and a welcoming community of other families walking the same path. You’re not handing your child to a distant, for-profit owner — you’re joining a community that runs this school together.

(For working families: our professional, teacher-led staff provide full-day care from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Being a “partner” here means having a voice and a community — not a required work schedule.)

Nonprofit means every dollar serves children

As a nonprofit, Thrive Kids has no outside owners to pay. Every dollar goes back where it belongs — to our children, our educators, and our families — not to profit. That’s what lets us invest in low ratios, qualified teachers, and a nurturing environment instead of a bottom line.

The care behind the model

Our ownership model is what sets us apart, but our care is what earns your trust:

• Ages six weeks to ten years — infant care, toddler and two-year-old care, preschool and pre-K, and after-school programs.
• Low ratios, including a 1:4 ratio in our infant room, so every child gets real attention.
• Gold Seal accredited, with qualified, caring educators — CPR and First Aid certified and screened through FBI Level 2 background checks.
• A whole-child, play-based approach that helps children grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
• Full-day hours, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, built around working families.
